Joel Fischman is an experienced litigator whose practice for the last 25 years has included representing clients in a broad array of civil matters including personal injury, construction defect, product liability, and federal business litigation in state court. He has arbitrated and mediated countless matters with experience in jury and court trials. 

Joel currently concentrates his practice on workplace and Workers’ Compensation matters. He represents clients in a full range of workplace injury claims, including complex physical and psychiatric injury claims, California Labor Code Section 132a claims, serious and willful misconduct, and subrogation matters. He has taken countless depositions involving medical experts, percipient witnesses, claims professionals, and risk managers. Joel has also participated in hundreds of settlement conferences and hearings. 

The hallmark of Joel’s practice is his ability to identify the critical issues that determine a claim’s ultimate value. By making this assessment at the inception of a case, he is able to develop an appropriate plan of action to resolve the claim in a timely manner. Graduating magna cum laude and in the top 10 percent of his class from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Political Science, Joel received his J.D. from the University of California, Davis, where he served as both a Staff Writer and a Research editor for the Law Review. He is a member of the California State Bar and admitted to practice in the United States District Courts of the Central District of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
